PIANO & SINGING CLASSES
If music be the food of love...play on! - William Shakespare - Twelfth Night
Children and young people thrive on music- it holds so many benefits for developing creativity, imagination, listening skills, social skills, organisation, perseverance and helps to foster a life long enjoyment of the arts. We teach adults and children aged from 5 years, from beginners to advanced levels in classical, pop, jazz, improvisation, blues and musical theatre.
Students can have 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute lessons and each term consists of 10 lessons which are payable in advance.
The school offers private tuition in:
Piano
Singing
Music Theory
Lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the students to ensure their reach their full potential. Students can work towards examinations for ABRSM, Trinity, Rock School and LAMDA examinations and we have enjoyed a 100% pass rate for the last 20 years. Exams are not compulsory and students can learn for fun away from examination work, and we will put as plan in place to ensure musical progression and to foster a love of music and the arts.
We run an annual music concert which is held at local venues including Normansfield Theatre and St James Church in Hampton Hill, where music students are invited to perform pieces they have worked on during the year.
We also run a performance choir which is by audition and invitation only and students have the opportunity as part of the choir to undertake CD recordings, perform in concerts and charity events. We have previously been involved with CD recordings for Sing Up in association with Faber Music and students have previously performed at Windsor Castle, West End Showcases, Royal Windsor Flower Show and at the Normansfield Theatre, Hampton Hill Theatre, Richmond Theatre, The Exchange and the Bush Theatre.
We enter students for local music festivals and help prepare students for Music Scholarships and auditions, as well as Drama School and Music College entry.
All new students undertake an assessment lesson where we meet with the parent and the student and assess the students ability and interest in their chosen instrument and discuss a plan for the development of the performer.
