2012 is
the year of the Olympics and the World Shakespeare Festival, so what better way
to celebrate that than with ‘Dream On’, a fantastic innovative show set in
Athens, the home of the Olympics and based on Shakespeare’s wonderful play, ‘A
Midsummer Nights Dream’. All of
Shakespeare's characters are brought to life in this vivid new comedy musical
written especially for children.
Theseus and Hippolyta have been bidding
for the Olympics, Helena and Hermia are in love with two of the top Athletes, a group of
builders constructing the Olympic Stadium belong to an amateur dramatics group
who have been asked to perform at the opening ceremony and there a few fairies
thrown in for good measure!
