  Emma-Louise is a qualified and established Music and Drama teacher who has been teaching for 10 years.  Emma has experience of teaching in both schools and privately and has worked extensively with children of all ages from 2 to 72! Emma has led drama workshops for children aged 2 to 18 including GCSE and A Level Drama and Theatre Studies.  She also prepares students for LAMDA examinations, ABRSM examinations, Drama Scholarships and Drama School entry with past students gaining entry to Priorsfield School, Box Hill School and the Webber Douglas Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.  Previous students have also gained gap year placements at The Globe Theatre.  Emma is a qualified LAMDA examiner and regularly examines over the country for LAMDA.

  Training

Emma studied Drama and Music at Royal Holloway University, gaining a BA (Hons) and has continued her training ever since.  She has taken a wide range of courses at The Arts Educational, The Conservatoire for Acting and Musical Theatre, The National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre and The Globe. Emma studied Voice under the guidance of Leonora Keogh at the Voice Centre, London. She is currently a member of the Genesis Young Directors Project at the Young Vic and she is currently studying advanced playwriting under the playwright Jane Bodie (A Single Act - Hampstead Theatre).  She is also currently studying for an MA in Applied Theatre at The Central School of Speech and Drama.

Youth Theatre Credits

Earlier this year, Emma directed a new play in association with The Connections Festival with The National Theatre for Notre Dame School in Cobham, entitled 'The Peach Child' by Anna Furze.  This is the second year that Emma has directed a youth production for the festival having directed 'A Year and A Day' by Christina Reid in 2007 which was performed in Cobham and at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith. Emma has previously directed a large number of productions for youth theatre and for varying Surrey theatre companies.  In 2005, whilst teaching at Notre Dame School , Emma directed 'The Musicians' by Patrick Marber for the Guildford Drama Festival which won 3 awards including Best Youth Production, Best Youth Actor and The Adjudicators Award for Excellence, and was nomintaed for 4 others. In 2006 Emma directed 'The Willow Pattern' by Judith Johnson for Notre Dame School in Cobham which was nominated for 5 awards at the Woking Festival.

For Youth Theatre, Emma has also directed Teechers (John Godber), My Mother Said I Never Should (Charlotte Keatley), Dancing At Lughnasa (Brian Freil), Charlie And The Choclate Factory, Wind In The Willows, Dumble The Dinosaur and Ballooning Around The World. Other directing credits include Look Back In Anger (Mill Studio, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford ), Cagebirds, It Started With A Kiss and My Heart's A Suitcase (Electric Theatre, Guildford.) 

Acting Credits

Theatre credits include Cecily - The Importance of Being Ernest, Helena - Midsummer Night's Dream, Julia - Two Gentlemen of Verona, Mdme Touvel - Les Liaisons Dangereuse, Bunny - Saucy Jack and The Space Vixens, Helen - Masterpieces and After The Dance (Oxford Stage Company).  TV credits include Eastenders (BBC), Kavangh QC (ITV), The Rory Bremner Show (ITV), Sporty Facts (Anglia TV), Sugar Rush (CH4) and the feature film Screaming Blue Murder (Chandelier Productions).

In 2005 Emma had the priviledge of being Musical Director for a production of The Hollow Crown directed by Sherna Treherne for The Barn Theatre and in 2006 Emma worked on 'Frankenstein' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which received 4 star reviews.

Honor Roche (Drama, Musical Theatre and Dance Teacher)

Honor tarined as an actress at the Central School of Speech and Drama gaining an MA in musical Theatre. She is an actress, dancer and singer, with experience that broadly includes Shakespeare, Brecht, Musical Theatre and Pantomime. She has danced since a young age in various disciplines, including ballet, tap, jazz, street and Latin & Ballroom; a former National University Dancesport Champion, Honor is currently training for her Professional Associates Latin American qualification, as well as working as an actress, model and voiceover artist.

Previous theatre credits include Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Agitator (Brecht’s ‘The Decision’), The Genie (Twice Upon A Time) and Cassie (A Chorus Line).

Previous choreography credits include Frock Horror (EdFringe 2007); CSSD MA AMT Showcase (2007); Songs For A New World (Warwick Arts Festival, 2006); ‘Rendition’ Dance Show (Warwick Arts Centre, 2006);  Music Theatre Warwick Revue (2006); Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party (WAC, 2006); Warwick Fashion Show 2005; ‘Déjà Vu’ Dance Show (WAC, 2005); Return to the Forbidden Planet (2004).

Honor is a regular deputy drama, dance and singing teacher for over half a dozen Stagecoach Theatre Arts Schools, has also worked as a dance teacher for Dorking Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) and for Thames Valley Cultural’s International Summer School in Epsom, July-August 2007, where she will be returning for their 2008 season.

Robin Colyer (Drama, Musical Theatre and Stage Combat Teacher)

Training

Robin studied Acting at the Guildford School of Acting Conservatoire and is currently finishing his Stage Combat Appreticeship with Andrew Ashenden.  He is an experienced Drama, Music and Dance teacher having taught at a number of Stage schools including The Guildford School of Acting Saturday School and Stagecoach having been responsible for teaching LAMDA, Singing and Stage Combat.
