AUGUST 2008

LAMDA EXAMINATIONS

The children achieved outstanding success in the recent LAMDA examinations held in July. 
We enjoyed a 100% pass rate for the 7th year running. 
Students aged between 5 years to 12 years took examinations in the Speaking of Verse and Prose and Acting.

19 children achieved DISTINCTION
17 children achieved a MERIT
4 children achieved a PASS

Anna Diab who took her Grade Two Sopeaking of Verse and prose examination achieved the highest mark,
gaining a DISTINCTION with 90 marks.

Congratulations to all those who took examinations!


ABRSM EXAMINATIONS

5 students took ABRSM examinations in Music Theory and we enjoyed a 100 pass rate. 
Akansha ramakrishnan achieved 90 for grade 1 (Distinction) and Aniruddh Sharma gained 87 (Merit)

3 students took ABRSM Examinations in Piano with 2 gaining Pass for Grade 4 and one stuetn gaining a Distinction (132) for Grade 2.

BRINSWORTH HOUSE

We have been invited by Brisnworth House, the retirement home for members of the performing arts industry to entertain the residents.  We will be performing a Music concert given by the piano and flute students in October and a Christmas concert performed by children from Acts 1, 2 and 3 in December.
